The ExpeData Signature Capture Solution for BlackBerry
The ExpeData Signature Capture Solution adds great flexibility to BlackBerry-based applications
for the mobile business and field service professional. Leveraging a Bluetooth digital pen and
digital paper, handwritten signatures can be captured and transferred to BlackBerry-based
applications. There it can be viewed on the screen and integrated with existing applications.
This capability is targeted at the mobile workforce, enabling them to capture signatures.
How Does It Work?
The receiver of goods and/or services signs his name using a
Bluetooth-enabled digital pen on an ExpeData signature slip.
The customer’s custom-made application will then capture
the handwritten signature as an image, allowing it to be
merged with other data captured with the BlackBerry device.
Product Specifications
There are two components to the product offering. First is
the Software Development Kit (SDK) that the customer can

use on a BlackBerry device. This allows total customization
and seamless integration. The second component is the end
user starter kit that is used for the signature capture. This
consists of everything a user needs; including Bluetooth
digital pen and digital paper signature pads.
